The Examinacon of Judith Rose< no role > widdow taken
before me Sr . William Turner< no role > Knt . Aldrman and
one of their Maties. Justices of the Peace of the
City of London this 28th. day of August Anno
Din 1692.

Who sayeth That she being acquainted with one Thomas
Lee
< no role > (since Executed) a little before Candlemas last by his
marrying Millicent Carey< no role > Daughter of Elizabeth Carey< no role >
then liveing in Kent Street in Southwarke , and by that
meanes came acquainted with Jone Lee A Victuallr wife
in Cow lane mother of the said Thomas Lee< no role > And the said Thomas Lee< no role > told this Examint. that
his mother had a maid lately gone away whose name was
Amy Pearce< no role > and advised her to goe by that name and
get a Service and then to robb her Mastr. and that his
mother would give her a good charectr. and then this Exaiat
went to ye. Intelligence Office and there understood that
Edwd. Fleming< no role > A Victuallr . in ye. Old Change wanted a servt
and She went and pfered her service and told him her name
was Amy Pearce and he haveing recd. of the said Jone Lee
a good charectr. of Amy Peirce Entertained this Examint
and in foure dayes time she robbed her sd. Mr. of about
£160. in money in two baggs [..] and carryed
the said money [..] directly to Careys house in Kent
Street, And the said Jane Lee< no role > knew she this Examint
had robbed the said Edwd. Fleming< no role > and recd. £18 of the
money and complained she had not Snack enough And she
this Examinate further sayth and confesseth that the said
Elizabeth Carey< no role > and Mary Knight< no role > and Millicent Leeand her
Knew that this Examint. had Stole the said money that
very night she stole it, and all of them had a part of the
money vizt Elizabeth Parey about £20. at severall times
Mary Knight< no role > had about £22. at severall times and Millicent
Parey als Lee had Seaven Pounds, And this Examinat
further sayeth that she was with Jone Lee Elizabeth
Carey
< no role > ye Elder Mary Knight< no role > and Millicent Carey< no role > als Lee< no role >
severall times after they knew she had robbed the said
Edward Fleming< no role > of the said money [..]
