The Examination of Ann Gunn< no role > taken this 27th. day of August
1692. who lives at a shooemakers neer St Clements Church over
agt Essex Streete

The examinant being asked whether or noe she was with one Margarett
Edwards
< no role > to see the execution of Mr Harrison for the Murder of Dr Clenche
saith that she was, & further saith that she doth not remember that she said to,
or in discourse with the said Margaret Edwards< no role > if some had their deserts
they would be there as well as he meaning the said Mr Harrison who was
then there ready to be executed, or laughed or said there is somebody doth
laugh in his Sleeke now, And she saith that she well remembereth that a
woman a Stranger to this depont, passeing by in the Croude about the time
of the execution of the said Mr Harrison asked another Woman whither the said Mr Harrison
had crooked leggs and she said to the said Mrs Edwards doe you heare [..] haveing heard that there was a discourse as through [..]
there may be some suspition, which words she this depont then uttered because she had heard it reported that
there was a suspitition that Mr Francis Milward< no role > was concerned in the
murder of the said Dr Clenche, & she saith that she did knowe the said
Mr Milward had crooked Leggs And this depont further saith that after
the murder of the said Dr Clenche & before the execucon of the said
Mr Harrison, she (haveing taken notice that the said Mrs Edwards had said
that she knewe something of the said Mr Milward, done in the City & one
Mrs Wheeler being some time after at this deponts lodgeings said that
it was reported that the said Mr Milward was concerned in the Murder
of the said Dr Clenche, & there upon she this depont afterwards asked the
said Mrs Edwards if that was the thinge or secreet she meant when
she said that she knewe something concerning the said Mr Milward done
in the City. And she further saith that since the Comitment of Mr Cole
she was before the Lord Cheife Justice Holt, and that about a moneth since
she sawe Mr Harper a Chyrungeon & told him that Mrs Milward had
reported that her husband & the said Mr Cole and Mr Harper were
concerned in the murder of Dr Clenche, who replied to this deponent
that he was innocent of it and that he would surrender himselfe to
my Lord Cheife Justice at his returne from the Circuit, & that he would
then take some of his friends there with him to give some good account of
him or used words to that effect And she saith that a person a
Stranger to this depont whose name is Heaselton (at this depont is
informed) came to her & desired of this deponent to knowe where the
said Mrs Milward lodged & when she did see the said Mrs Milward
& named to this depont a person of Grayes Inne whom he said was
Mr Harrisons friend whom he said would prosecute the said
Mr Cole for the Murder of the said Dr Clenche And she further
saith that she doth knowe the said Mr Cole & Mr Harper and that she
