The Informations of Ann Richardson< no role > Elizabeth
Wilson
< no role > and Edward Tredway< no role > taken upon
Oath the 30th. Day of March 1789

Who upon their several Oaths say and first the
said Ann Richardson< no role > for herself saith that about Eight
o Clock this Evening being the Thirtieth Day of March
Instant as she was standing at the Corner of Drury Lane
to speak with her Friend and Acquaintance Elizabeth
Wilson
< no role > she the sd. Ann Richardson< no role > having loft her Place
about five o Clock this Evening to wit at Mr. Belchiers as
Cooper at 11o. 2 Fox and Knott Court Cow Lane Smithfield
the Prisoner Walter Scott< no role > passed and repassed her and
her Acquaintance several Times and as he came very
near to her she said get about your Business you are
Drunk and upon that the Prisoner immediatly said an
I drunk and directly laid hold of her and took a fancy
Lockett out of her Neck Handkerchief and ran away
upon which she called out stop Thief

Elizabeth Wilson< no role > upon her Oath saith that Ann
Richardson
< no role > above named having left her Service this
Afternoon came to her Appartments in Wardour Street
and after having staid some Time was returning back to
her Lodging they went together and as they were in
Drury Lane the Prisoner Walter Scott< no role > passed and
repassed them several Times and coming very near
to them the said Ann Richardson< no role > said to the Prisoner
You are drunk upon which he immediately laid
hold of her and took the Lockett out of her Handkerchief
and ran away upon which she called out stop
