The Information of William Beckwith< no role >
Esqr . Ensign in his Majesty's twenty
ninth Regiment of Foot taken before
me this eleventh day of March 1789 .

Who being on Oath saith that he went
last Night to see the Illuminations
and when he was at the East End of
Pall Mall where the Croud was very great
the Person now present who calls himself
Paul Weaver< no role > laid hold of this Informant
Watch Chain. That this Informant in-
stantly seized the Hand of said Weaver
who gave it a sudden Jerkwith itwhich
brought his Watch out of his Pocket, but
does not know what became of it. And
this Informant Further says that he never
quitted Hold of said Weaver till he was
secured and that he is very sure he is
the Person who so picked his Pocket of
his Watch as aforesaid
