me this 28th day of March 1789
Who being upon Oath Severally say and first the
said John Twyford< no role >
for himself says that several
attempts have been lately made to rob his Shop That
between eight and Nine o'Clock last Night he this
Informant and said East went on the opposite side
of the Street to Watch his said Shop when he saw
the Persons now present who call themselves William
Nicholson< no role >
and Job Bates< no role >
break the Window of
this Informants Shop and take something out
that they immediately pawned them when this
Informant apprehended and secured said Bates
And the said William East< no role >
for himself Says that
he was present at this time with said Twyford
and saw said Nicholson and Bates break the
Shop Window of said Twyford and take something
out of the Shop That he pursued them and
apprehended said Nicholson at which time he
found upon him the Piece of Silk and Cotton Velvet
