The Informations of Susannah
Clayton

of Brompton Row Bricklayer
Richard Roberts< no role > and William Slaton< no role >
of No. 2 Little Grosvenor Street
Wine Cooper taken before me this 25
day of March 1789

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the
said Susannah Clayton< no role > for herself says that between
two and three o'Clock on Monday last the Person now
Present who calls himself Robert Savord< no role > came to
her Masters House and said that Mr. Ladley was
one the way and he should be glad to wait two or
three Minutes for him That in a few Minutes after
said Savors asked this Informant for a Glass of
Water That Informant went to get a Glass of
Water for him when she heard the Door open
That Informant ran towards the Door when She
saw said Savord go out at the Door with a Great
Coat under his Arm That she immediately informed
Mr. Gray of what had happened who sent said Roberts
in Pursuit of said Savord And the said Richard
Roberts
< no role > for himself says that by the direction of
Mr. Gray he pursued said Savord and found him
in Piccadilly with the Coat under his Arm That
Informant told him he had stolen the Coat
when he
