The Informations of William
Briand

Road Brewer and George Parry< no role >
of No. 1 Newman Street Oxford
Road wheeler taken before me
this 4th. day of February 1789

Who being upon Oath Severally say and first
the said William Briand< no role > for himself says that
about a Week since the person now present
who calls himself Robert Holmes< no role > called upon
him and purchased of him twenty seven Bouds
of Stale small Beer at two Shillings per
Barrell That he came on Friday last and
asked Informant to take for the Beer and give
him the difference of a Ten Pound Bill and
produced the Note of Hand now produced purporting
to be the Promisory Note of George Parry< no role > No. 2
Newman Street Oxford Road to Mr. Richard
Holmes
< no role > or his Order for the Payment of Ten
Pounds Six Weeks after date and dated London
December 27th. 1788 That Informant took
said Notes and gave said Holmes Seven
Pounds four Shillings being the difference
of said
