Brentford Widow and Sales woman, William Cole< no role >
of the Heath houses in the Parish of Heston Cow Keeper
John Street of Acton Carpenter, and Charles Jellous< no role >
of Bow Street Covent Garden Sadler taken on Oath
beforeUsme this 26th. day of August 1789.

Who being on Oath severally say and first the said
Susannah Dewells< no role > for herself says, that between the hours of eight and
Nine oClock in the Evening of Friday last she being then in the Kitchen,
she heard the Street door open (which a little time before she had shut)
that Informant called out who's there, and upon no answer
being given she got up in order to see who it was, that she
found the Street door wide open, and upon looking about discovered
she had been robbed of a Quantity of Wearing Apparel, which she
had left upon the Compter in the Shop about half an hour before
that the French Grogram frock, White Waistcoat with Sleeves [..] Childs
Red Waistcoat, White Jean Waistcoat, brown Waistcoat, White
Waistcoat with Stocking Sleeves, [..] boys Coat, [..] boys White Waistcoat,
[..] Bed Gown and pair of Leather Breeches now produced by the said
John Street , are this Informants property, and were Feloniously Stolen
from her Shop at the time and in manner aforementioned And the
said William Cole< no role > for himself says, that on Saturday morning last he
was in search after nine Geese, which he had lost the night before
that he was informed by one Elizabeth Pace, a Neighbour of this
Informants, that she had seen four Men and a boy in Company together
with two Asses, and a pair of Hampers in their Possession, and that One
of the Hampers seemed to be heavy laden; upon receiving this account
Informant pursued them, and in the town of Acton overtook them, when
they were taken into Custody, two of them having first endeavoured to
make their Escape, that the persons he so over took and had apprehended
are the persons now present, who call themselves by the names of Richard
Ridge

that they had then in their Possession two Asses, One pair of Hampers
