The Informations of Thomas Turnes< no role > of No 4
Paddington Green Gentleman , and James Watts< no role > of
the same place Labourer taken on Oath before
me this 25th. day of July 1789.

Who being on Oath severally say and first the said Thomas
Turner< no role > for himself says that this morning about eleven oClock he
was in the Yard of his Mother Margaret Turner< no role > Widow and heard
the Cry of Stop thief upon which Informant ran into the field
and was then told by the said JamestheWatts that two men.
one in black Coat with an Apron the other in light coloured Coat
had Stolen something from the Garden that Informant pursued
them and about a Mile from the said Garden he apprehended
the person now present who calls himself John King< no role > that he then
went in pursuit of the other whom he also Apprehended about
half a Mile further offthat Informant broughtand is the person
also now present who calls himself Thomas York< no role > that when
Informant brought him back to his Mothers he then Confessed that
he had taken a Gown from the Garden and had concealed it in
some bushes in the Corner [..] of a Field that Informant took the
said Thomas York< no role > with him and there found the Gown now
produced and which is the property of his said Mother Margaret
Turner< no role > And the said James Watts< no role > for himself says that about
Eleven oClock this morning being at work in a field at Paddington
belonging to the said Margaret Turner< no role > he saw the said two persons now
present come into the Field and go on towards the Garden of
the Margaret Turner< no role > [..] where a quantity of Linnen was
hanging to dry that after some little time Informant saw [..]
Thomas York< no role > Ran over another Field with something under
his Coat upon which Informant suspecting him to have Stolen
