The Informations of Jeremiah Callahan< no role > and Richard Bunny< no role > taken
upon Oath the 21st. Day of August 1789
say and first the sd. Jeremiah Callahan< no role > says

Who upon their Oathssaiththat be together with the
Prisoner Jeremiah Mahony< no role > and two others had been workg.
together near Edgware and coming from thence to London
on Sunday Morning the 16th. Day of August Instant about
one o'Clock the Prisoner took a Hay Fork in a sudden
manner from him the sd. Jeremiah Callahan< no role > and struck
him sevl. violent Blows therewith and likewise stuck
it in his Arm in several Places and whilst he lay upon
the Ground one of the Men who was in Company held
him down that he begged for his Life and the [..] Man
told him he must go and lye along side his Country man
meang. one Carty who was hanged in Jorns near the
Place they then were and in their Sight that the Prisoner then took out of
his the sd. Jeremiah Callahan< no role > 's Fob Pocket six Shillings in
Silver and four Pence half penny in Copper and afterwds.
struck him two Blows upon his Face with his Hay Fork
before mentioned which made him unable to stir & he
lay in the Ditch adjoyning the Highway till it became
Day Light

Richard Bunny< no role > Constable for himself saith that
on Wednesday Morning the 19th. of August Instant betwixt
eight and nine o Clock he was informed by one William
Welch
< no role > a Watchman that a Person had been stabbed
and almost murdered that he went to a Publick House
known by the Sign of the Hammer and Trowell in
Church Street St. Giles's where he found the above-
mentioned Jeremiah Callahan< no role > who gave him Charge
of the Prisoner Jeremiah Mahony< no role > who was in the
