Who being on their Oaths Severally Say and first the said Henry Allam< no role >
for himself Saith that on Wednesday last in the Afternoon the person present
came to his house and called for a Pint of Beer, which the drank paid for
and went awaySaith that he was Informed by John Doyle< no role > andthe
above named Simon Jackson< no role > and William Elbey< no role > the next morning that
a person was detected at Mr. Jacksons who had Stole some Pots and that
one of his Pots was found on said person; And this Informant lastly
Saith that the Quart Pot now produced is his property is of the value of
Fourteen pence, and was as he verily believes Stolen form his house on
Wednesday last by thesaidabove person present who calls himself John
Trimmings
< no role > , And this Informant William Phipps< no role > for himself Saith that
between the Hours of of Six and Eight O Clock of Wednesday Evening last the above
named John Trimmings< no role > came to the house of Mr Jackson and called for a Pint of
Porter which he paid for, That Mr Jackson having lately last a great number
of Pots and Informant having frequentlylastseen the prisoner at his house
Suspected him to be the person who had Stole some of them in Consequence of which
he Ordered Archibald Smith< no role > a person who occasionally Assists in Mr Jackson
house to watch said Trimmings, who soon after came and told Informant that
the prisoner had Put the Pint Pewter Pot (the same pot the Beer was drawn in)
into his Porket and was gone out of the Room Whereupon Informant followed
himand Overtook him at about the distance of Two hundred Yards brought him
buck to Mr. Jacksons house and upon Searching him found the said Pint Pot
One Quart Pot Deposed to by Informant Henry Allum: and an other Quart
Pot with the Name of Thos [..] Thompson Wapping Wall Deposed to by Jane
the wife of said Thomas Thompson< no role > , all of of which are now here produced.

The said John Trimmings< no role > Saith that he is by profession a Labour is about Sixty Years of Age as
he believes. That Six found the two Quart Pots in a Ditch near the [..] Jurnstile in a Cow
Keeper Fields going to Mile End but that he did take the Pint Pot from Mr Jacksons
