Who being upon Oath Saith that the person now present
who calls himself Thomas Ling< no role > was employed by Mr. Norris
as a Labourer in a House belonging to Peter Hammond< no role > Esqr .
in Gilberts Passage Portugal Street Clare Market . That about
five o Clock last night he saw the said Thomas Ling< no role > come out
of said Mr. Hammonds House with the Basket containing the
Lead now produced on his Shoulder that well knowing he had
stolen said Lead he watched him to an Iron Shop in Wild
Street where he put said Basket and Lead upon the Counter
the Woman of the Shop telling him That she would weigh
it as soon as she had weighed is a Cock belonging to another
Man who stood by that this Informant then secured said
King and said Lead also without waiting for her purchasing
it and further Says he is very Live that the Lead now
produced belonged to a Stink Trap in the House of Mr. Hammond
as aforesaid
