Robert Riches< no role > of No 31 Nightingale Lane Wapping
a Watchman of the said Parish being Sworn upon his
Oath saith That on Sunday Evening the thirtieth day
of March last as Deponent was going his round calling
the Hour of Eleven James Cole< no role > another Watchman
came to him and informed him be believed that there
had been a Murder committed that Deponent
went to the Door of the Deceased House and Seeing the same
open Alarmed the Neighbourhood and with several
other person went into the House where they found
the deceased laying on the Floor with a White Clott
over his Face and upon removeing such Cloth he
perceived that his Throat had been Cut and Several
Cuts in the head and Stabbed in the Breast and
Dead and Appeared so to be for some time That
Deponent with others went up Stairs and upon the
Stairs he found a Box containing Weights and
