which said Rees Davies< no role >
took a Candle to
light this Examinant, and sd Wm Barns
and this Examinant took the deceased
by the Head and Shoulders, and Barns
by the Feet and carried him down
into the Room below, which has a
Boarded Floor and there left Him sitting
on the Floor, and leaning against the
Side but without either Fire a Candle
That this Examinant would have left
him in the Watch House, had it not been
for the Express Orders of the said Young
Richards< no role >
to carry him into the Room

to the Watch House again till about
half past six oClock the next Morning,
and as he was going into the Watch
House, he heard the deceased sighing
and geoaningThat said Richards and
Davies were in the Watch House at same
time, and several other Watchmen, that
this Examinant continued there about
One Quarter of an Hour, but no Person
went down whilst this Examinant staid,
to see the Situation of the deceasedthat
there was not any other Prisoner in the
Watch House that Night, to the best of this
Examinants BeliefThat the Room where
the deceased was put, had an open Grating
next the Streetthat there was not any
Bed there, and that the sd deceased was left
in the sd Places when this Examt. left the sd
