The Information of William Watson< no role > James
Mr. Coombs
< no role > Mary Mitchel< no role > and Elizabeth
Sanson
< no role > taken before me this 2d Day of January 1787 .

Who being on Oath say and first William Watson< no role > & James
Mr Coombs for themselves say that they are Patrdes of the Parish
of St Johns in the said City & Liberty that Last Night between the
Howes of Tend Eleven they mett in Peter Street a Man now present
who Calls Himself Thomas Smith< no role > with a Large Bundle that being
asked by the said James Mc Coombs< no role > what he had get answered
his own Property with which He was going Home but would
not tell where He Lived that being told by these Informants
He must go to the Watchouse the said Thomas Smith< no role > offered to
Shew them from whence He took the said Bundle and took
these Informants to the House of Thomas Mitchel< no role > in Perkins
Rents through a Passage into the Yard of the said House
whence the said Thomas Smith< no role > lifted up the Sash of the Parlour
Window and attempted to port the said Bundle in but was fore-
-vented by these Informants

And Mary Wife of Thomas Mitchel< no role > for Herself says
that last Night about Ten o Clock She left her House in Perkins
Rents that she locked her Room door (the Right hand Parlour
after having fastened the Window down with a Broken Nail
-Piercer that on her Return about Half an Hour after She found
her Room had been Robb'd and this Informt further says that
the Blanket Sheet and other Articles now produced are her
Property and were Stolen from out her said Room the door of
which continued Locked on her Return

And Elizabeth< no role > Wife of William Sanson< no role > says that She
keeps a House next Door to the said Thomas Mitchel< no role > that
about Half past Ten o Clock, last Night She was Standing at
her Door and saw a Person now present who calls Himself
Thomas Smith< no role > come out of the said House of Thomas Mitchel< no role >
with a Bundle tye'd up in a Street that this Informt: immediately
went and Informed the said Thomas Mitchel< no role > & his Wife
