The Information of Henry Rice< no role > at Ratelift Cross St
Dunstan Stepney , Ship Carpenter taken this 13th day of Nov.
1787 Before us two of His Majestys Justices of the Peace
in and for the said County who being on Oath saith on Tuesday
Night last between the Hours of Six and Seven as he was passing
along Sawdong field in the Parish of St. George Middlesex he was
attached by Three men in Soldiers Cloaths-That he is positive
the person present who says his Name is John Gillmour< no role > is one of
the said Men and the Very man who said hold of him by the Collar and
took a Silver Watch on which in his Name in a Cypher a Silver chain
and Two Silver Seals and demanded his Mary says he told him
he had none when said John told him he Knew he had That he then
gave a Guinea to him and seven Shillings in Silver when one
of the other man who was Taller then said John took his hat off this
Informants head used all three left him-Says he followed them
a little way when the said John Gillmour< no role > came up to him with
a Bayonet in his hand and threatned by the holy Ghost if haded
not go back he would sun it into his Guts

The said John Gillmour< no role > says he never did sea Henry Rice< no role > before now in his life
That on Tuesday Morning last he went to work for Mr. Bond at the
Beak side Truthward at his Mahogary yard untill Tuesday room when he
went to Fresh Wharf London Bridge worked there housing Tugars for a
Person who he things his name is Carrots was half past hour in the afternoon
when Paid for the Job-that he went Street home to his Quarter the Bald
face Stag in Worship Street and Moorfields -had some mutton Chops
spoke to his hand lady when dressed by the Servant a Young man and Woman
in said hours eat Part with him and had Three pints of Two pasony
is certain said Young Man and Women [..] were in said house when he first
came in and that he [..] called their Company when they went away
as he thinks about half past owen in the Evening of said tuesday a further says he staid
up (about half an hour after in said house when) he went to ted in the
said house and deal not go out of it until he went out in the Morning
about the hour of Six on Wednesday last
