with the Examination of the said Richard
taken before us the 11th. day of August 1787
Frist the said Thomas Cockrell< no role >
on his Oath saith that
he is a Labr
. and lives at Lewisham
in Kent
That he formerly lived at the Star Bre [..] house at
Male End
Middlesex
and on moving from there abt
five or Six Weeks ago he left his Box Containing
his Wearing apparel with the prisoner who Says
his Name is Richard Griffiths< no role >
at his apartments
at Limehouse
that the said Richard Griffiths< no role >
hath
Since removed from Limehouse
secretely into
White Chapel
where he found him and also
his Box which had been broke open & the following
things taken from thence Viz five new Shirts
two Waistcoats one pair of Breechestwothree Half
Crowns and two Shillings and he Suspects that
the said Griffiths is privy to the said Felony

on his Oath saith
that the three Sach now produced by John Roberts< no role >
are the property of Philip Metcalfe< no role >
and ChristopherCharles>
Barton Metcalfe< no role >
and that they have had
Several Sacks Stole from them and are
Continually Loosing Sacks and that the said three
Sacks are of the Value of Six Shillings
