Apothecary Saith That he doth not Practice Surgery
That about 8 or Nine o Clock on Friday Evening last he
was called to Visit the deceased - That he found her
Lying on her Right side Complaining of much Pain
and groaning - That he examined her and found a wound
just under the Blade Bone on the Left, Side which he
Proved but can't speak as to its Depth - That he
order'd it to be Pontticed and sent her a Composing Draught
[..] But never said her afterwards

Saith That on [..] Saturday Evening last he was desired
by the Beadle of the Parish to Examine the Body of the
deceased and on Sunday last in the forenoon he examined
and opened the Body - That externally there was an
Appearance of a large Exhavasation of Blood and a small
wound on the Ribs on the Left Side and another on the Nose
That upon Opening theBodyBelly The Contents of it
appeared in a halthfull State Except some part of the
small Intestines which were inflamed - That he then
opened the Thorase or Breast and found the Pleura or Bag
in which the Lungs are contained in a State of Inflammation
also in the left Cavity a Quantity of Coagulated Blood
a mounting to about Sixteen or Eighteen Ounees - That the
wound was between the seventh and Eighth Ribs and appeared
to have been made by a sharp [..] Pointed Instrument and had
Passed into the Lungs - That he cannot speak as to the
Depth of the wound But from the External Appearance it
appeared to be about a Quarter of an Inch in Breadth
