Edward Griffiths< no role > a Prisoner in his Majestys
Gaol of Newgate Lycon his Oath Saith That at the
last Session of Gaol Delivery of Newgate hold
at Justice Hall in the Old Bailey Deponent was
informed that he was Indicted for a Robbery in the Kings Highway on
James Ogden< no role > Esquire and in consequence the rest
employed onecaused application to be made to one James
Lake
< no role > and John Hughes< no role > who were material Witnesses
for their Deponents Defence and Saith they did
attend for that purpose of giving Evidence upon
the Tryal in this Deponents behalf but was
seen afterwards informed that this Deponents Tryal was put
off until their Session on Account of the Prosecutors
being out of TownSaith That he hathgivencaused
a Brief toCouncelbe given to Councel to Defend
this Deponent against the above Chargeal
their Session and hath caused Requiry to be made.
