Who being on Oath say and first the said Jacob Turner< no role >
says that this morning about three o'Clock he went to the
One Bell in the Strand
with a person now present Who calls
herself Sarah Mackay< no role >
; that she bolted the door of the room
in which they Slept, at which time he had two Guineas
in the Fobb of his breeches and an half Guinea in his Waistook
pocket, That when he got up this morning about Eleven o'Clock
said Mackay (being in Bed and the door still being botted) he
missed his two Guineas and an half and is very sure said
Mackay stole the same; And the said Martha Saunderson< no role >
says she in Chamber maid at the One Bell
in the Strand
, that this
morning between 3 and 4 o'Clock the said Sarah Mackay< no role >
and
said Jacob Turner< no role >
came into said one Bell and went to Bed
together, at which time she saw an half Guinea in his hand
That between 5 and 6 o'Clock this morning said Mackay came
down Stairs and Offered Informant half a Guinea to let her
go out and added that the Gentleman had a Guinea and an
half, that the Guinea she could swallow and the half Guinea
this Informant should have; which she refused to comply with
And the said John Lerway< no role >
says, that he was sent for this
morning to take said Mackey into Custody which he did and
