Who being on their Oaths say And first The said Francis
Sternes< no role >
for himself says Last night between the hours
of Twelve and One he went with the Prisoner present
who says her name is Lucy Brand< no role >
to a house in Mill
Yard
Whitechapel
and as soon as he was in the said
house she seized hold of him by the Breast with one
hand and with the other took out of his Breeches pocket
She Three Guineas two bad Shillings and Gold Ring
now Produced says he Instantly laid hold of her hand
and kept fast hold of it until William Colburn< no role >
the
Watchman
came to his Assistance when he heard the
said Things drop on the floor

for himself says as he went by the
Door of the house aforesaid he heard a Man say he
Would have his property that he went in and says

he asked Francis what he had lost
who said Three Guineas Two of them old Two bad
Shillings and a gold RingSays he demanded of the
said Lucy to shew him what she had in her hand
which she refused but finding him resolute said
she would give it himand throwing the same
into his hand it all fell on the Flour which he
picked upand That the three Guineas Two Bad
Shillings and Gold Ring now produced are the same
he picked up as aforesaid Francis Stearnes< no role >
