The several Informations of Sarah
Groves< no role > and Elizabeth Douglas< no role > Taken
the 23d. day of September 1785

The said Sarah Groves< no role > upon her oath Saith
That about the hour of 10. oClock in Morning of
Tuesday she this Informant met with one
Maria Hamilton< no role > who being discharged the took
her to her Apartment and gave her some refreshment
That this Informant fell asleep and when She awoke
the said Maria Hamilton< no role > was gone and had taken
with her Two Linnen Gowns One Black Flounced
Skirt one Cloth Apron one Black Bonnet and
Nine Shillings and Six pence in Monies That this
Informant then went in Pursuit of her and had
her taken into Custody

And this Informant Elizabeth Douglas< no role >
upon her Oath Saith That about the hour of
one o'Clock in the day of Tuesday last she this Informant
saw the said Maria Hamilton< no role > in the said
Mr. Groves Apartment and saw her go out of it
at which she had in her possession a Bundle
and the Bonnet above mentioned She had
upon her head which this Informant knew
to be the said Sarah Groves< no role > 's property
