The Information of William Rockell< no role > ,
Robert Mash< no role > , Sebastian Thomas< no role > , George
Martin< no role > and William Carrington< no role > taken before
me the 27th. day of May 1785 .

Who being on Oath say and first the said William Rockell< no role >
says, that on Wednesday last about 11 o'Clock in the morning the
sash of his Masters dressing room in his House on Hampsted heath
was thrown up and three Waistcoats, a Jacket, a pair of Silver shoe
Buckles and a pair of silver Knee buckles now produced (the Property
of his Master Benjamin Barnet< no role > Esqr.) [..] were feloniously stolen
therein, And said Robert Mash< no role > says that about 11 o'Clock on
Wednesday last he saw a person now present who calls himself
Richard Ward< no role > coming out of said Dressing room window, that
this Informant [..] stop Thief said Ward dropped
some things within the Pallisades, that Informant pursued
him to Kentish Town where he was taken. And said Sebastian
Thomas< no role > says that after the Cry of "Stop Thief" by said Marsh, he
picked up the three Waistcoats and Jacket now produced between
the House and Pallisades of said Mr. Barnet, And said
George Martin< no role > says that soon after said Ward was secured,
this Informant found in Mr. Wirgman's Yard at Kentish Town ,
the two pair of silver buckles now produced, And said William
Carrington< no role > says that as said Ward was Running by Mr. Wirgman
wall at Kentish Town (pursued by said Marsh) he observed him
put his hands into his pockets, near which place, Informant
secured him.
