Middlesex to wit.

The Information of William Tubbs< no role > , of the Fulham
Road Gardiner, Christopher Capp< no role > Ostler at the George
on the Fulham Road , Thomas Peacock< no role > lodger at the
said George on the Fulham Road , and John Tutt< no role > of
the Bell and Horns at Brompton , taken before me
this 6th. day of January 1785 .

Who being on Oath say and first the said William Tubbs< no role > , says that on
sunday last between 4 and 5 o'Clock in the afternoon, he heard a noise
in an Empty House, belonging to said John Tutt< no role > , suspecting something
[..] going on wrong he went to the George Public House for assistance
that the Ostler at the Said house went with him to said Tutt's house
and walked round said house 10 minutes and upwards when he saw
a Person now present who calls himself Matthew Hawkins< no role > come
out of the back door whom they secured and on looking into said
House found a Quantity of Lead the Iron Checks and top Bar of
a Grate a Garden Reel and Line a Hatchet a'Canvas Bag and other
things now produced laying just behind said door, And the said
Christopher Capp< no role > says that he was with said William Tubb< no role > , that
on Questioning said Hawkins what he did and how he came there
to said he had been in there to Sleep that he was a poor M [..]
had done no harm having only taken a little Lead. And that said
Thomas Peacock< no role > says that he was in Company with said Tubb
and Capp and assisted in Securing said Hawkins, And the said
John Tutt< no role > says that on Sunday afternoon last he called upon by a
person to go to his Empty House aforesaid, which he found broke open
by the Bar of One of the Windows being broke down and one of the Shutte [..]
being Wrenched off, And further says that the Lead, the Iron Checks
and Bar, a Bill a Bell and a Pistol now produced are his property
and were stolen in his said House.
