who being on Oath say, and first the said Jane Hunt< no role >
says
that last Night between 6 and 7 o'Clock as she was sitting at
work in her Master John Absalom< no role >
's Parlour in James Street
Covent Garden
she heard the shop Door Open and a Person now
present who calls himself Luke Rogers< no role >
come into said shop
when he broke the show Glass and took there out two Hats and a
Muffnow produced with which he ran out at the door when
Informant ran to the Door and called out stop Thief, And this
Informant further says that the two Hats and Muffnow
produced are the Property of John Absalom< no role >
her Master and
are the same that were so Stolen. And the said Thomas
Burton< no role >
says that last Night between 6 and 7 o'Clock as he was
coming down James Street
he heard a Window break when
looking across the Street he saw said Rogers come out of Mr
Absaloms Shop and heard a person cry Stop Thief when
Informant pursued him and secured him in Covent Garden
Market
and found the two Hats and Muffnow produced under
said Rogers Arm. And the said John Hill< no role >
says that he
was in Company with said Burton and saw said Luke
Rogers< no role >
come out of Mr. Absalom's shop that he with Burton
pursued him and assisted in Securing him.
