The said Edward Towry< no role >
for himself upon his Oath Saith
That he lives at No. 9 Bedford Street

That the
Carpet now Produced in his Property and is of the Value of
Ten ShillingsAnd this Informant James Dennison< no role >
upon his Oath Saith That he is an Ivory Turner
and works
for Mr. Smith whose Worshop is in Hand Court near totheNo. 9
Bedford Street
aforesaid That about the hour of 4 o'Clock
this afternoon he saw a Man go up and down the Stairs of the
first Floor of the said House and Suspecting he was there with intent
to Steal he then went to the door of the said House and saw
the said Man come out of the House having in his Possess in
the Carpet now produced and gave it to the PrisonerJoseph

otherwise Pearson and then Ran away upon
which this Informant Seized hold of Pearson and he dropt
the Carpet and this Informant Secured him and the Carpet
and had him Conveyed before a Justice.
