the County of Essex Yeoman and Joseph
Ballard< no role > of Stratford in the said County Labr . Taken
this 22d day of October 1784

Who being on then Oaths say and first the said
Benjn Brett< no role > For himself saith that the Six Hempen
Sacks now produced by the other Informant
Joseph Ballard< no role > are his property and were Stolen
from out of a [..] Field at Barkin Side in the
said County of Essex since Six
o'Clock [..] last Night.

And the said Joseph Ballard< no role > for himself
Saith that he is a Patroll at Bow in the County
of Middlesex that about half an Hour after
Nine o'Clock last night he Stoppedtheat
Bow adjd. teh Person now present who says his Name is
John Ward< no role > withThat the said John Ward< no role >
had upon him the Six Hempen Sacks now
by him this Informant produced and Sworn
