taken before me this 19th. day of July 1784.
Who being upon Oath says that
this Morning about 5 o'Clock this Informant put seven Guineas and [..] 2s/6d in silver into
a Drawer in his House at Kensington Gravel Pits
, at which tie
James Griffin< no role >
now present wid
in the Roo, and in about a Quarte [..]
of an hour afterwards (when said Griffin was gone this Informant
[..] four Guineas. That this Informant pursued said Griffin to
Shepperds Bush where he took him into custody, and where
sais Giffin confessed to this Informant that "He had stolen
said four Guineas", one of which he gave this Informant and
said that "He had hid the other three in a Dunghill".
