taken before me this 17th. Day of July
1784.
Who on their Oath say and first the said Robert Taylor< no role >
says that he
is a Watchman in New Street Saint Martin in the Fields
That between
One and two o'Clock on Thursday morning the £8: Instant he heard
a Watchman Rattle in Bedfordbury
That he observed a Man runnning
across in New StreetThat Informant made towards said Man
and laid hold of him, when said Man put his Arm round Informant's
Neck and said "Watchman I am robbedI am satbbledI am a
dead Man support me". That the said Man was bleeding and
appeared to have been stabbled in his Right side. That this Informant
with others took said Man to Mrs. Jarvis's Surgeon in Great
Mays Buildings
where he died in about half an hour. And
the said James Jobson< no role >
says that he is a Watchman in Bed-
-fordbury and hearing the cry of "Murder" he Rung his Rattle
and shortly after met said Robert Taylor< no role >
with the wounded
Man in Bedfordbury
, and attended them to Mr.. Jarvis's in [..]
