The Information of Thos. Sell. William

parish of St. John Hackney made This 20
Day of July 1784. before me Chas. Sheppard< no role > Esqr.
one of his Majestys Justices of the Dead is for
the sd. County on Oath. against William
Hoglon of the said parish Gardener.
These Informants saith as follows Vizt.
Thos. Selldeclares that on Sunday
July 18. 1784 The said Willm. Hoglon
offerd to him to Sale a Certain Horse but
asking less than appeard to be the Decler he
step'd the Horse and deterdn'd the said
Willm. Hogbons< no role > who was crett before
me on Monday July 19. when he declar'd
that the Horse was his own, but surfield [..]
being strong against him, hadding sold
another Horse to William Webb< no role > . of the same
parish and likewife offer'd a Cow to sale
to Richard Pack< no role > of the said parish
who acknowledged. The Transaction
In the [..] of the same Day July 19
he the sd. Willm. Hogben Confy'd that
he stole the abovemention'd Horses, Cow,
from Putney and mentioned the sign
of the Green Man at Portney as the [..]
when the Owner might be found. The next
mending beding the 20s. of July a Censtath
was sent to patney to math signdey
when he found Mr. Jas. Carpenterwho
Return'd with the Constath as did like wood
Alexander Miln. and Ishnmael Rane
of the sd. Place The Two former odly. James
Carpenter< no role > and Alexr. Mila< no role > did and that
on a about duly. 13d July 18. they such of them
cort a Him And Each of them sworn [..] feild
