The Information of The Honble,. Albinia Hobart< no role > and Edward
Lascelles< no role > Esqr . taken before me this 24th. Day of
May 1784.

Who being on Oath say and first the saidAlbina Hobart< no role > says
that on Saturday Night the 8th. Instant as she was coming out
at the Kings Door at the Opera House she fell a violent Pull
at her Right Ear in which was a diamond Ear Ring That this
Informant screamed out and after this Informant got home
her said Ear King was found in her HairAnd the Said
Edward Lascelles< no role > says that he was with saidMrs Hobart
at this time and upon her screaming out he saw the Hand
of a person now present who calls himself James Napier< no role >
by her Ear. That this Informant followed said Napier and
took him into Custody and delivered him into the Care of the
Constable of the Opera house
