Ann Miles< no role > of Carlisle Street Soho
and Charles Whalan< no role > of the Coat Yard Drury Lane
taken upon Oath before me this 20th. day
of March 1784

Edward Cruttenden< no role > Saith that on or About the 6th. day of
December last William Marks< no role > the Prisoner came to live as a Footman
with this Information Some time after a pair of silver Buckles
being missed out of a drawer Since that time Several other things
were Missing and the Prisoner Staying out all Night this Informant
Discharged him this Informant Service the next day on thursday
the 18th. Instant John Chamberlain< no role > a Servant in this Informant house
Informed him he had found part of the things Stolen by William
Marks
< no role > Sent Immediately and Apprehended him the following
things were Stolen two Gold Rings a pair of Silver Buckles A Morocco
Pockett Book with a Silver Locks containing a Silver Rules and a Silver
Fellegree Windmill
Ann Miles< no role > Saith that She this Informant hath been
Acquainted with the Prisoner William Mark< no role > about two
Months, about three Weeks since the Prisoner came to
this Informants Apartments. was asked by this Informant
if he would fetch his Watch which this Informant had
Pawned for fifteen Shillings, he Answered he Should not
till the Evening as he had no Money but a two Guinea Piece
which his Mistress had given him towards his Wages; which
he gave to this Informant to got it Changed She went to a
Wine Naulty for some Liquor and Showing the Piece to the Landlord
he Informed her that if the Piece was good Gold it was a
five Guinea Piece, this Informant Immediately went to
a Pawnbroker to have it tryed who Weighed it and Informed
this Informant it was a good five Guinea Piece, this Informant
