maketh Oath that he this Deponent did attend this
Court on Wednesday, ThursdayandFriday and
Saturday last with John Magee< no role > in order to give
Evidence on the Prosecution of the Prisoners, but
this Deponent having lately come to this County
from America and being totally ignorant of
the manner of conducting criminal Prosecutions
this Deponent did not attend (as he is now
informed he ought to have done) before the
Grand Jury And this Deponent on his Oath
Saith that his neglect in the respect proceeded
entirely from his Ignorance & not from any
Intention to delay or obstruct Justice or to
Connive at the discharge of the Prisoners.

Bailey the 2nd. Mond 1783}
