The Information of Hezekiah Green< no role > , Michael Dobbs< no role >
and John Dell< no role > , taken before me this 9th.. day of February
1784.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Hezekiah Green< no role > , for himself says
that a Bag containing file dust now produced is his Property and believes
was Stolen from himAnd the said Michael Dobbs< no role > says that he is Clerk to said Hezekiah Green< no role > , that between one
and two o Clock this day. this Informant saw a Person now Present who calls
himself John Simpson< no role > (a Journey man to said Hezekiah Green< no role > ) carrying a Bag
from the Warehouse of said Green into the Shop were said Simpson worked;
that Simpson immediately went out to go to dinner, that Informant went into
said shop to examine said Bag and found it contained File Dust which
he believed to be the property of said Green his Master whom he immediately
Informed of what had happened. That said Green desired this Informant to
Watch if any Person should attempt to take it away, that in less than half
an hour Informant saw said Dell take it past the Kitchen Window into
the Street who he followed and desired to bring it back, which he did. And
said John Dell< no role > , says that he works at said Green's under said Simpson.
That when this Informant was at home at Dinner this day said Simpson
came to him and desired he would go into the shop and fetch a Bag from
the Chimney place which was covered with Straw and bring it to said Simpson
in Kings Street, that Informant immediately went for said Bag and was
Stoped as aforesaid, and that the Bag now produced is the same Bag which
he was Ordered to fetch by said Simpson.
