Middlesex


These are to Certify that at the Delivery of the
King's Gaol of Newgate holden for the County of Middlesex at Justice
hall in the Old Bailey in the Suburbs of the City of London on Wednesday
the Tenth day of September in the twenty third year of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great Britain Etc. Before
Nathaniel Newnham< no role > Esquire Mayor of the City of London Thomas
Harrison
< no role > Esquire and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Ford the
King assigned to deliver the said Gaol of Newgate of the Prisoners
therein being, James Baldock< no role > of the ago of twenty five Years, and
John Allen< no role > of the age of twenty eight years were convicted of Grand
Larceny and were then and there severally ordered and adjudged
to be whipped (to wit) the said James Baldock< no role > privately and the
said John Allen< no role > openly and publickly and to be severally imprisoned
and kept to hard Labour in the House of Correction at Clerkenwell
for the space of Six Calendar Months pursuant to the Statute
in such Case made and provided. Dated this 20th. day of
September 1783.
