Middlesex to Wit


The Examination of Ann Obery< no role > who saith that
Elizabeth Liviston< no role > now present told her about a Month
since that she was sure she could not roll her tale Masters
Till Her said Master is Mr Balford and keeper
the old Union Arms in Panton Street , that about
a Week since they again talked about it, and that
the Night before last they went with design for
Elizabeth Leviston< no role > to try to steal some Money which
her mistress kept in her own Bed room the one pair
of Stairs forward, that Elizabeth Went up stairs
which she this Examinant staid below at the door,
that soon after Elizabeth returned & told this
Examinant it would not do; the Door of the Lodgers
room opposite being openthat about eight o Clock
last Night they went again, and Elizabeth told
this Examinant to go into the House & order a
Pint a Beer for No. 3 in the Court over the Way,
that she this Examinant did so, [..] while Elizabeth
Sliped downthat sheby an outer door used for
puting Beer down into the Cellar, that she this
Examinant returned into the street & saw Elizabeth
go down and hide herself behind a But or Cash,
and then she went to a House in Newtoners Lane
where she had agreed to go & to return to Elizabeth
at twelve, but she did not return to Elizabeth that
about three o Clock this morning Elizabeth came to this
Examinant with the money now produced and agreed
deal more which they have disposed of in the Purchase
of Cloths and other things now produced.
