of the Parish of Saint Margaret Westmr. IN
the C ounty of Middlesex
I and taken before me Thomas Gilbert< no role > Esqr.
one of his MAJESTY'S Justices of the Peace for the said
County of Middlesex , this 2nd Day of May
17 83

Who confesseth that that he did steal the Coat, pair of Breeches
Stockings, stocks, Waistcoat, Shirt, Stock Buckle< no role > and
knee Buckles< no role > now produced, of which he is charged by
the said William Hunter< no role > That he meant after
taking them to go as a Baker on board the Venus
on the Irish Coast, being informed by a Seaman that
he could get more Wages there, than on Shore; and
that [..] his inducement for stealing said
Cloaths was to go to sea with them
