Taken the 16th. day of May 1783

Who upon his Oath saith That he is a Watchman
belonging to the Parish of Saint Giles in the fields in the
County of Middlesex and being upon his Beat about 4
o Clock in the Morning he heard the Cry of Murder in Buckeridge
Street in the said Parish and upon coming to the Place
he found a Woman lying upon her Back and a Man
Kicking her and upon Searching the Woman he found
a Silk Handkerchief a Guinea and Eighteen Pence in
Silver which Handkerchief the said Thomas Hunt< no role >
immediately Claimed to be his property.
