taken upon Oath this 11th day of
May 1782 before me Charles Triquet< no role >
Esquire One of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County

This Informant John Edmonds< no role > for himself saith that he is a
Shoemaker and lives in Petty france Westminster and thatlast
[..] Yesterday about ten oClock in the Morning
he went up to the House of Bryan Burton< no role > a Tenant of
this Informants) who lives in Mary bone Lane in the
Parish of Saint Mary le bone , to ask him for money for
Rent That they went together to a Publick in Bond Street
and then drank several Pots of Beer, That this Informant
had [..] in his Pocket a Canvas Purse containing three Guineas
in Gold and about five Shillings in Silver, which said
Purse and Money was Feloniously Stolen from his person
and that no other Person whatever was in Company with
this Informant at the time he last the Money as aforesaid
but the said Bryan Burton< no role > , and verily believes him to have
Stolen the Same. And this Informant Elizabeth Edmonds< no role >
for herself saith that she is Daughter to the aforesaid John Edmonds< no role >
and that a Shilling (what is Marked, and now produced and which
was found in the Possession of the said Bryan Burton< no role > is the
same Shilling which was in her fathers Possession Yesterday
Morning. and which she Recd. in Changeatson Thursday last
