The Information of John Malyn< no role > of the Apple Tree
in Cursitor Street Chancery Lane and Francis
Hearne
< no role > of Charles Court in the Strand Gent
taken before me this 21st. day of May 1782

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said John Malyn< no role >
says that he knows a person now present who calls himself Charles
Kicling, who hath frequently drank at his House, and well
recollects the said Charles Kicling drinking in the one pair of
Stairs or Club Room of this Informants House on Monday [..]
the 13th. May instant about 12 oClock; on which Night a
Silver Quart Mug was stolen out of said Room And the
said Francis Hearne< no role > for himself says that he with others were
in Company with the said Keeling on the same Night at the said
Malyne House, and was drinking out of said Quart Mug
That he is very sure that he with the other Company came [..]
stairs, out of said Club Room, about ¼ before one, leaving the
said Charles Keeling< no role > alone in the Room, and the Mug on the Table
And the said John Malyn< no role > further says that [..] from the time the
said Francis Hearne< no role > came down stairs and went away with
the other Company, to the time the said Charles Keeling< no role > went
away (which was in about 3 Minutes afterwards) no person was
in the said Room but himself and that immediately after he was gone
he missed the said Mug: from which and other Circumstances
he is very sure the said Charles Keeling< no role > stole the same
