Middlesex to wit.


The Information of Thomas Wooldridge< no role > Esquire
taken before us this 29th. day of August 1781.

Who being on Oath says on Sunday Evening the fifth of
August instant about a quarter past nine o Clock, as
he was coming to Town on Horseback, he was stopped by
three Men about thirty Yards beyond the Halfway House
between London and Kentish Town . That one of the said
Men came up on the right side of his Horse with either
a Cutlass or Hanger in his hand, and demanded his Watch
and Money; that a Second came on the left side of his
Horse, presented a Pistol to his head, and made use of
some threats; that the third man who was Joseph
Randall
< no role > now present stood at about the distance of
Six or seven Yards, but did not speak. That upon this
Informants declaring that he would not be robbed
and that he would Shoot them if they did not leave
him:, they ran away; when this Informant pursued
the said Joseph Randall< no role > and took him into custody.
