Middlesex to wit


The Information of William Herbert< no role > Hannah Onslow
Barnett
< no role > , and Elizabeth Eastgate< no role > taken before me
this 11th. day of May 1781.

Who being on Oath say and first the said William Herbert< no role > says that
on Tuesday last as this Informant was going into the Opera House ,
on the Stairs of the five Shilling Gallery, a Man whom he
verily believes to be a Person now present who calls himself
Bennett Harbourne< no role > put his Arm across his Neck and pushed
against this Informant very hard. That when this Informant
got into the three Shilling Gallery, he missed his Watch
now produced; and verily believes that the said Bennett Harbourne
feloniously stole it out of his fob. And the said Elizabeth
Eastgate
< no role > says that she was going into the Opera House at
this time with her Master Dr. Bossey, and was on the Great
Steps; that her Masters pocket being picked of his Watch,
she suspected a Person now present who calls himself Henry
Haslam
< no role > to have taken it, which induced her to take hold
of him by his Arm and charged him with stealing it.
That she led him down several steps until they came
near a croud of people, when she heard the Watch now
produced chop on the passage near the said Haslam and
this Informant; and does firmly believe that the said Henry
Haslam
< no role > dropped it. And the said Hannah Onslow
Barnett says that she was in the Opera House Passage
at this time and saw the said Elizabeth Eastgate< no role > leading
