The Voluntary Information of Daniel Roper< no role > of the Parish of
Christ Church Spittalfields Weaver taken and made on Oath
before me David Wilmot< no role > Esqr . one of his Majestys Justices of
the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex this 7th day of
July 1775

This Informant saith that on a Monday Morning being the 26th. of June last Between
the hours of 2 and 3 oClock he this Informant with one Bryon Broke into the Dwelling
house of Thomas Chapman< no role > at the Sign of the Artichoake in the Dog Row Bethnal
Green and Stole 2 Sauce pans and 2 Pewter Dishes which were Sold by this Informant
and Bryon to one Elizabeth Rule a Broker in George Street Spittalfields for two
Shillings and Six and Spent the same at different Public Houses in Victuals and Drink

And This Informant saith that some Morning about the Middle of last
Week Between 2 and 3 o'Clock he' with said Bryon and one William Mason< no role > Broke
into the Dwelling house of Samuel Cope< no role > the Corner of Wilmot Street in the Parish
of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green and Stole one Damask Table Cloth four Silver
Table Spoons one Silver Watch one Silver Punch Ladle & two Silk Gowns, the Damask
Table Cloth was Pawn'd by Bryon to Mrs. Smith of Rose lane Spittalfields for Five shillings
and the rest of things were Sold by Mason to a Irwin Pettycoat lane for the sum of one
Pound and Twelve shillings which said sum of Five Shillings and one pound and
Twelve shillings were Devided Between this Informant Bryon and Mason, And
this Informant also saith that he with said Bryon [..] about Ten days
ago Between 3 and 4 oClock in the Morning Stole from and out of the House of
William Westfield< no role > in Wilmot Street aforesaid 4 Womans Pettycoat and a silk
Handkerchief. The Pettycoat was Sold to Mrs. Smith aforesaid for Seven shillings by
Bryon who sold the Handkerchief to a Women the Rag Fair for Fifteen pence
which said sum of Seven shillings and Fifteen pence were Divided Between Bryon
and this Informant
