taken before me one of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace
for the said County
Who being severally upon Oath say and first this
Informant William Carter< no role >
for himself saith that
about 12' oClock on Saturday Night last as this
Informant was returning home from his Labour he
came to a Court adjoining to the Cheshire Cheese
Alehouse in Parkers Lane Saint Giles when Two
Men rushed out upon him and one of them laid hold
of him and demanded his Money which this Informant
refused to deliver and the other cryed go it and
Immediately this Informant received a Dangerous
wound over his right Eyebrow and was then thrown
down the Channel and Seven Shillings in Silver
and four Pence half Penny in Copper was taken out
of his Pocket this Informant further saith
that the Person now present who calls himself Joseph
Scott< no role >
is the person who wounded him [..] him
down in to the Channel and took the Money from
him as above but the other person who was with
the said Joseph Scott< no role >
who made Use of the Words go
it this Informant did not see his face as he was
behind himlend this Informant George Antrobus< no role >
for himself saith that the other Informant William
Carter< no role >
Lodges in his House that about 12 'o Clock on
Saturday Night last the said William Carter< no role >
was
brought home wounded over his Eye and Bleeding
and gave to this Informant the same Account of his
being Wounded and Robbed as abovementioned
and described the person of one of the Robbers and
which description both as to his Size Cloathing
& Hair answers the person of the said Joseph Scott< no role >
who was well Known to this Informant before
that about Nine oClock on Sunday Morning
