The Information John Vernon< no role >
at No. 165 High Holborn
taken before me One of his Majestys
Justices of the peace for the said County

Who being upon Oath saith that as he was
Coming down Dyot Street Saint Giles in the field
last Night about Eleven oClock he was attack
by a person now present who calls himself Ambrose
Cantwell
< no role > together with Six other persons the
said Cantwell insisted of having a Stick which
this Informant had in his hand but this
Informant refused to let him have it upon
which Cantwell kicked up his heels & threw
him down on the Ground and then knocked of his
Hatt when this Informant was on the Ground
Cantwell took up the said Hatt and gave it
to one of the other Men who was with him
and he Ran away with it up Dyot Street and
they cryed out kill him several time this Informant called
out Watch several times and then they all
Ran away this Informant is certain that
the said Ambrose Cantwell is the Man
who threw him Down & knocked his hatt of
and gave it to the said other persons as above
described
