The voluntary Information of
Margret Hartley< no role > taken on Oath before me
John Sherwood< no role > Esqr . one of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the said County the
24th. day of January 1774

Who on her Oath saith that on Tuesday Evening
last Elizabeth Standford< no role > came to the Appartments of
this Informt. saith that she asked her to come the
next day to drink Tea with her, and desired this Infort.
to being a Brown linnen Bagg with her, for what
purpose this Informt. knowns not, saith that she
went the next day to drink Tea with Elizth. Stanford
and took the Bag with her saith that the said
Elizth. Standford asked her if she had her key of the
Street Door about her, when this Informt. said she
had, saith that the said Elizth. Stanford asked her
to lend her the Key and the Bagg she brought with
her, and told this Informt. she would not be long
before she came in and Mary Lewis< no role > went with her
the said Elizth. Stanford at the same time, saith
that the said Elizth. Stanford returned about a Quarter
of an Hour afterwards.andwith Mary Lewis when
the said Mary Lewis brought a large Bundle in with
her and Elizabeth Stamford brought a Tea Chest and
a Tin Cannister full of Tea, saith that Mary Lewis
heard somebody run down the Court and she immediately
run up Stairs into the first floor and throw'd all
the things she had under the Bed, when the said Elizth.
Stanford in a few Minuits after say'd to Mary Lewis
come Poll let's go again, saith that Mary Lewis
said dont lett us be too ventures some, that Elizth.
Stanford said there was no fear, for she knew the
Time they came Home, saith that Mary Lewis
went with the said Elizth. Stanford again into the
House, saith that about ten Minutes after she
