That on 10th. Septr. last George Reid< no role > Esqr.
made his certain Warrant under his Hand
& Seal bearing Date the same Day & directed
amongst other things to the Governor of
Tothilfields Bridewell (or his Deputy) being a
certain Gaol of own Lord the King in the City
of Westr. & by which he was directed to receive
into his Custody the Body of Wm. Lewis< no role > being
brought before the sd. Justice by John Daw< no role > a
Constable & charged before him upon the Oaths of
Geo: Wheatley< no role > & Wm. Heald on Suspicion of falsly &
Fedy. Forging 2 Drafts the one for the payment of
£15: & the other for £48:18s. purportg. to be the
Drafts of John Pownal< no role > Esqr. upon Robt. Drummond
& Co. for the paymt. of the said Sums of Money &
Utterg. the same as true knowg. 'em to be Forged
with Intent to Defraud sd. Robt. Drummond of the
same agr. the Stat Etc. and that afterwds. sd. George
Reid
< no role > Esqr. & Geo: Mercer< no role > Esqr. made their Warrant
of Detainer under their Hands & Seals bearing
date the 13th. Septr. 1774 directed to said Govr. &
directing him to detain in his Custody the Body
of sd. Wm. Lewis he being charged before them upon
the Oaths of Geo: Wheatley< no role > Wm. Heald & others with
falsly & Fedy. Forging 2 Drafts the one for the paymt.

them to be Forged with intent to Defraud sd. Robert
& Henry Drummond< no role > & Co. contrary to the Stat. Etc.
And that sd. Wm. Lewis< no role > was Detained in the sd. Gaol
and that afterwds. the sd. prisrs. on 13th. Octr. Inst. did
Fedy. convey & cause to be conveyed into the Gaol afsd.
a certain Vizer & Disguise proper to facilitate the
Escape of prisrs. which consisted of One Linnen Gown
One Black Silk Bonnett One Black Silk Cardinal
One Womans Cap with Red Ribbands One White Linnen
Apron One Pr. of Womans Ruffles and did also convey
& cause to be conveyed into sd. Gaol a certain Instrumt.
called a Steal Spring Saw being an Instrumt. proper to
facilitate the Escape of prisrs. & the same did Deliver and
cause to be Delivered to sd. Wm. Lewis without the Consent
or privity of sd. Keeper or his Deputy & that the same
were deled with an intent to aid & assist him to attempt to
Escape agn. the stat. Etc.

That they were Aidg & Assistg. sd. Wm. Lewis< no role > to Attempt to
make his Escape from sd. Gaol he being Cond. & Deld. in sd. Gaol for
