had got there & he sayd that he had got a Bundle
of Dirty Linen which he had brought from his Father
at Highgate
but this Informant instructing that
they were stolen things he took him into Custody
& conveyed him to the round house
And this informant John Plenius< no role >
for himself
saith that being a Constable he was attending
at the Rotation Office in Litchfield Street on Monday
last at the time the said James Lever< no role >
was
in Custody on Suspicion of Felony when this
Informant was told by a Woman that the said
James Leves< no role >
had thrust some things behind
the Waistcoat in the Office upon which this
Informant searched & found behind the said
Waistcoat & found the Chissel now produced
and also in his presence there was also found
the Skin pouch now produced containing
a Flint & Steal & Matches & Tinder that
on Saturday Morning last this Informant
went to the House of the said John Cook< no role >
at Finchley
& upon examining the fringes of
the Shutters which had been wrencked open &
the Lock of the Doors & Cupboard which was also broke
Open the Impressions of Violence by which
they had been broke open exactly filled with
the Chissel he so found behind the Waistcoat
at the Office as aforesaid
