Peace
in and for the said County the 27th: day of
March 1773
Who saith that last Night (being Friday) about Nine
O Clock being in a Public House near Iron Gate

came to him and asked him to come
out which he did accordingly and when he came to
the Bottom of the Stairs he saw a Sack filled with
Barley (as he afterwards found) which said Sack the
said North askd him to take and carry the same
to one Mr Bulcock of Eastsmith field
saith that as
he was carrying or going with it he was stop'd by

Martin [..] Nossiter Seized it sent for an officer
and took him in Custody saith that the said North
went away and was not then taken
