Accessory after the fact for Receiving Goods
knowing them to have been stolen

Henry Goodman< no role > of Ayliff Street Goodmans fields in the Parish of
Saint Mary Matfellon< no role > alias white Chapple in the County of Middlesex
Merchant James Freshfield< no role > of Kings head Court in the Parish of (Saint Andrew
Holborn London Watch case Maker and William withers< no role > of Turks Head Court
Golden Lane in the Parish of Saint Luke in the County of Middlesex Watchmaker
severally make Oath and say That on the twenty first day of November last
they severally become bound by Recognizance before Sir John Fielding< no role > Knight
one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex in the
Penalty of One hundred Pounds each upon Condition that the said Defendant
Aaron Isaac< no role > should Personally appear at the Session of Gaol Delivery of Newgate
to be held for the said County of Middlesex after the then next Assizes to be holden
for the County of Hertford then and thereto answer what should be objected against
him And these Deponents severally Say that the said Defendant Aaron
Isaacs
< no role > did daily attend upon the Exchange and at the Publick Coffee House
to transact his Business as a Merchant Trader and also to call at the House of these
Deponents James Freshfield< no role > and William wither several times from the time that these
Deponents so became Bail for him until sometime in the Month of April And this
Deponent James Freshfield< no role > for himself Saith that on Sunday the twenty Sixth day of
April last an Acquaintance of this Deponents called on him and indiscourse
among other things (knowing that the Deponent had Dealings with the said Aaron
Isaacs
< no role > in the way of his Business) Informed this Deponent Freshfield that the said
Aaron Isaacs< no role > had not been seen as usual Publickly transacting his Business at
the Coffee houses for two or three days before Whereupon this Deponent as one of the
Bail for the said Defendant became very uneasy and immediately went to the House of
the other Deponent William Withers< no role > also one of the Bail for the said Defendant to
acquaint him with the Information he this Deponent had so received and expressed
his great fear's and uneasiness to him least the said Defendant Should have absconded
so that these Deponents should not be able to bring him to appear at the said
Session pursuant to the Condition of their said Recognizance Whereupon these
Deponents James Freshfield< no role > and William Withers< no role > agreed to go to the House of
the said Defendant to meet with the said Defendant and make enquiry into the
Cause of his Absence from Business and that if the same was not satisfactory
to these Deponents to surrender him in discharge of their said Recognizance And these
Deponents James Freshfield< no role > and William Withers< no role > for themselves severally Say that
they
